Steps

Support

Back, pelvis, and free leg resting on the floor.

Enter

  1. Sit with both legs extended.
  2. Bend your left knee and hold your ankle and calf.
  3. Rotate your hip outward; place your lower leg behind your neck.
  4. Exhale and recline, keeping your right leg extended.
  5. Cross your arms over your chest.

Hold

  1. Keep your free leg extended on the floor.
  2. Move your tucked hip away from your waist.
  3. Press your neck back against your leg without lowering your chin.
  4. Keep breathing continuously.

Exit

  1. Uncross your arms and sit up, supporting yourself with your hands.
  2. Hold your ankle and release your leg from behind your neck.
  3. Extend both legs; rest and repeat on the other side.
Breathing
Breathe deeply and continuously.
Gaze
Toward the space between your eyebrows, as an alternative.
