Steps

Support

Both palms and fingers; head and feet lifted.

Enter

  1. From Lizard, tuck your right shoulder behind your right thigh.
  2. Place both palms shoulder-width apart; bring your left foot forward.
  3. Place your left knee high on its upper arm; lift that foot.
  4. Lower your hips until your right foot lifts.
  5. Extend your right leg forward and straighten your arms.

Hold

  1. Press your right thigh against your right upper arm.
  2. Draw your left heel toward your buttock.
  3. Press both palms down and keep your arms straight.
  4. Keep your right leg straight, with your toes pointed.

Exit

  1. Bend your right leg and lower both feet to the floor.
  2. Release your arms and move into Uttānāsana.
  3. Repeat on the other side.

Breathe normally.
Gaze
Look forward.

10–20 seconds per side.
