Steps

Support

One foot; the hand holds the raised foot's big toe.

Enter

  1. From Mountain, shift your weight onto your left foot.
  2. Place your left hand on your hip; inhale, raise your right knee.
  3. Hold your right big toe using your thumb and first two fingers.
  4. Exhale and extend your leg forward, up to hip height.
  5. Flex your raised foot and keep your torso upright.

Hold

  1. Keep your standing knee extended without pushing it backward.
  2. Level your hips and face your pelvis forward.
  3. Lengthen your torso and maintain your spine's natural curves.
  4. Keep your chest broad and both shoulders level.

Exit

  1. Bend your raised knee and release your big toe.
  2. Exhale and lower your foot to the floor with control.
  3. Return to Mountain and repeat on the other side.

Breathe softly and evenly.

Focus on a fixed point ahead.
