Steps

Support

Weight distributed between the sitting bones and the tailbone area.

Enter

  1. Sit with your knees bent and feet on the floor.
  2. Wrap your index finger, middle finger, and thumb around each big toe.
  3. Lean back, keeping your spine long.
  4. Lift your feet and straighten your knees without rounding.
  5. Open your legs into a V, maintaining your grip.

Hold

  1. Keep your legs raised about 60° from the floor.
  2. Lengthen your spine and lift your chest.
  3. Gently draw your abdomen inward to maintain balance.
  4. Keep your arms straight and shoulders away from your ears.

Exit

  1. Bring your legs together, maintaining your grip.
  2. Bend your knees and lower your feet to the floor.
  3. Release your grip and sit upright.
Breathing
Breathe deeply.
Gaze
Look at a fixed point ahead at eye level.

Gradually build up to 2 minutes.
