Steps

Support

Crown and forearms stay grounded; feet alternate support while walking.

Enter

  1. Start in Dvi Pāda Viparīta Daṇḍāsana with your legs straight.
  2. Interlace your fingers behind your head; ground your crown and forearms.
  3. Lift your chest and shoulders before walking.

Hold

  1. Walk your feet around your head, clockwise first.
  2. Keep your head stationary and your forearms grounded.
  3. At each side, lift your opposite shoulder and turn your torso.
  4. Complete the circle; pause, breathe, and repeat counterclockwise.

Exit

  1. Return to the initial backbend; walk your feet closer, bend knees.
  2. Unlace your fingers; place your palms beside your head.
  3. Press your palms, lift your head, and lower your torso.

Pause between directions and take several deep breaths.

Dynamic: one circle each way, with a pause between directions.
