Face down, lift chest and thighs, holding your big toes with raised, straight arms.

Steps

Support

Abdomen near the navel; chest and thighs lifted.

Enter

  1. Lie face down; place your palms beside your chest.
  2. Straighten your arms; raise your torso and bend your knees.
  3. Reach one arm overhead; grasp the big toe on that side.
  4. Repeat with your other arm, maintaining the first grip.
  5. Exhale; raise your feet and thighs, stretching your arms upward.

Hold

  1. Maintain a firm grip on your big toes.
  2. Keep your chest, thighs, and arms lifted.
  3. Breathe normally while holding the pose.

Exit

  1. Exhale; release one foot and immediately place that hand forward.
  2. Repeat with the other hand; lower your chest and legs.
  3. Rest on your belly.

Exhale to lift and exit; breathe normally while holding.
