Steps

Support

Both palms and fingers; knees and head lifted.

Enter

  1. Sit in Lotus: place each foot on the opposite thigh.
  2. Lean forward onto your knees, keeping your legs crossed.
  3. Ground your palms ahead, little fingers touching and fingers pointing backward.
  4. Bend your elbows and press them against your upper abdomen.
  5. Shift your chest forward and slowly lift your knees.

Hold

  1. Keep your elbows together and your abdomen firm.
  2. Distribute pressure through your palms and fingers.
  3. Keep your torso and lotus legs parallel to the floor.
  4. Reach your head forward without lifting your chin too high.

Exit

  1. Slowly lower your knees to the floor.
  2. Sit back and uncross your legs.
  3. Repeat with the opposite leg on top.
Breathing
Exhale to lift; breathe while holding.
Gaze
Gaze forward without lifting your chin too high.
