Steps

Support

Both feet, back heel grounded; lower palm beside the front foot.

Enter

  1. In Warrior I, right foot forward and both heels grounded.
  2. Bend your right knee over your ankle; lengthen your torso.
  3. Exhale, rotate right, and bring your left arm across.
  4. Place your left palm outside your right foot.
  5. Reach your right arm over your ear, palm facing down.

Hold

  1. Keep your front knee aligned with your foot.
  2. Keep your back leg extended and your heel grounded.
  3. Lengthen diagonally; rotate through your middle back.
  4. Contact your thigh without forcing the rotation with your arm.

Exit

  1. Inhale, release your lower hand, and lift your torso.
  2. Unwind, straighten your front leg, and return to Mountain Pose.
  3. Repeat on the other side for the same duration.
Breathing
Inhale to lengthen; exhale to rotate. Breathe evenly.
Gaze
Toward your upper arm; alternatively, toward the floor.
Duration
30–60 seconds per side.
