Steps

Support

Shoulders and upper arms; pelvis on left hand and wrist.

Enter

  1. From Sālamba Sarvāṅgāsana I, turn your torso and legs right.
  2. Place your left hand beneath your pelvis; tailbone over your wrist.
  3. Keep your right hand on your back.
  4. Angle your straight, joined legs over your left hand.

Hold

  1. Press your shoulders and upper arms into the floor.
  2. Keep the elbow beneath your pelvis steady.
  3. Lift your chest; keep your throat relaxed.
  4. Extend both legs together, keeping your feet off the floor.

Exit

  1. Exhale and return to Sālamba Sarvāṅgāsana I.
  2. Repeat on the other side, switching which hand supports your pelvis.

Breathe normally while holding the pose.
