Steps

Support

Both sit bones, crossed legs, and the lower hand's palm.

Enter

  1. Sit cross-legged and lengthen your spine.
  2. Place your right palm beside your hip.
  3. Inhale and lift your left arm alongside your ear.
  4. Exhale and bend right, keeping both sit bones grounded.
  5. Face your chest forward and direct your gaze upward.

Hold

  1. Keep both sit bones grounded and your legs relaxed.
  2. Lengthen your lower side without sinking onto your supporting hand.
  3. Extend your upper arm, palm down; let your shoulder blade rotate.
  4. Breathe continuously and observe the movement of your ribs.

Exit

  1. Inhale and return to center, supported by your right hand.
  2. Lower your left arm.
  3. Repeat on the other side; then switch your leg crossing.

Exhale to bend; inhale to return.
Gaze
Upward.
