Steps

Support

Both soles of your feet, with your heels grounded.

Enter

  1. From Mountain, bring your feet together and keep your heels grounded.
  2. Inhale; raise your arms and join your palms overhead.
  3. Lengthen upward before bending.
  4. Exhale; bend your torso sideways, keeping your chest facing forward.

Hold

  1. Ground both soles; keep your legs engaged without hyperextending your knees.
  2. Lengthen from feet to hands without collapsing either side.
  3. Keep your chest and pelvis facing forward without twisting.
  4. Allow your shoulder blades to rotate upward; keep your neck long.

Exit

  1. Inhale; return to center with your arms overhead.
  2. Repeat on the other side.
  3. Exhale; lower your arms and return to Mountain.
Breathing
Inhale to rise and return; exhale to bend.
Duration
A couple of breaths per side.
