Steps

Support

Shoulders and upper back; back of the head in contact.

Enter

  1. From Shoulderstand, support your back and steady your shoulders.
  2. Fold your legs into Lotus, each foot on the opposite thigh.
  3. Exhale; draw Lotus toward your chest, bending at your hips.
  4. Wrap your arms around your thighs and grasp one wrist.

Hold

  1. Keep your weight on your shoulders and upper back.
  2. Keep your head centered and still.
  3. Keep Lotus tucked in without rocking your torso.

Exit

  1. Release your embrace and place your palms on the floor.
  2. Slowly lower your back, keeping your legs crossed.
  3. Uncross your legs and rest on your back.
Breathing
Breathe slowly without holding your breath.
Gaze
Tip of your nose.

5 breaths; in another variation, 20–30 seconds.
