Steps

Support

Both sitting bones, backs of the legs, heels, and palms.

Enter

  1. Sit with your legs extended in Daṇḍāsana.
  2. Separate your legs and place your palms in front.
  3. Point your kneecaps upward and flex both feet.
  4. Lengthen your torso; the full pose aligns both legs sideways.

Hold

  1. Ground both sitting bones.
  2. Keep your knees extended, with your kneecaps pointing upward.
  3. Keep your heels supported and your feet flexed.
  4. Maintain your spine's natural curves and keep your chest lifted.

Exit

  1. Support yourself with your hands and narrow the gap.
  2. Bring your legs together in front, returning to Daṇḍāsana.
Breathing
Breathe through your nose without holding your breath.
Gaze
Eyes open while learning the pose.
