Steps

Support

Sitting bones and crossed legs; hands holding the knees.

Enter

  1. Sit with your legs crossed and lengthen your spine.
  2. Hold each knee with the hand on the same side.
  3. Draw a circle: forward, sideways, backward, then toward the opposite side.
  4. Coordinate the movement with your breath and reverse direction.

Hold

  1. Keep your head relatively still.
  2. Use your hands for leverage to guide the movement.
  3. Keep a continuous rhythm guided by your breath.
  4. Round backward, arch forward, and lean to either side.

Exit

  1. Complete the circle and return to center with an upright spine.
  2. Stop moving and remain in Sukhasana.

Coordinate deep breathing with the circle.
